Medical laboratory will test diabetes examining the blood sugar level in an individual. If a newly diagnosed diabetic person comes out in a normal range during a blood test, the test is repeated and it is suggested to have done a glucose tolerance test. To diagnosed or rule out diabetes, physicians have different kind of exams. For this test, the patient will be requested not to drink or eat at all for a period of eight hours before the test or before midnight. As soon as the person arrives to the lab, the sample will be taken and processed.

It can really help in many forms to detect the disease before it appears.
