Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational are the three different forms of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that generates irreversible damage to insulin cells, also know as juvenile diabetes. It all happens when the pancreas is no longer able to produce enough insulin to manage the levels of sugar in your blood, so the body’s immune systems start attacking its own cells. The lack of insulin in the body makes sugar to build up the system rather than being absorbed.

Increase appetite is one of the problems cause by the deficiency of the cells to produce glucose. Frequent urination is a problem by the same factor. Serious damage to your organs can happens as well because of the glucose being built up in your bloodstream.

Hypoglycemic or prescribed medications are know for a fact that can only hide the symptoms, and because they don’t provide a cure rather than just a treatment, the whole problem becomes more severe since the immune system weakens.

Heart disease is 2.5 times more likely to happen in patients with diabetes who follow a prescription treatment compare with those treated only by diet. Medication also have undesired effects, such us, liver problems, skin rashes, anemia, and sometimes death.

Fruits and Vegetables and Your Diabetes

There are fruits high in calories and carbohydrates such us avocados, grapes, and mangoes; and there are others that are quite harmless and actually good for your body. Fruits are not mainly counter-effective to diabetes medication. The best fruits, if you are suffering from diabetes, are the citrus ones and apples.

Vegetable rich in vitamin B and C are the best for you, and those are the green leafy vegetables which naturally contain properties to reduce calories. Try to avoid corn and potatoes. Carbohydrates are a very important supply of energy to your body so you should not avoid them altogether, always ask your doctor for a good meal plan for you if you suffer from diabetes.
